Headed to Hartselle...

I just wanted to let y'all know that we're headed to Hartselle in the morning. My mom called tonight, and she said the Hospice nurse had been out to their house tonight, and they don't expect my Grandmother Grace to live much longer. Praise the Lord she is a Christian. She will be so much better off when this does happen, and we all know that! Anyway...it's strange posting this, but I know a lot of you would like to know, so I just wanted to give you the update. I have sweet friends!!!

I went back and added a picture. I know a lot of you have met her at some point, so here's a picture of Grandmother from November with Sawyer.

Simple Fun

This laundry basket harnessed Sawyer's energy for about 15 minutes yesterday. Thought I'd share.

I know I'm biased, but good grief! What a sweet face! He's so much harder to get a picture of these days, but I chased him with a camera yesterday to try and capture a snapshot of my sweet little booper. I went to the doctor yesterday, and he said we'd be able to find out June 4th what baby #2 will be-that's only 2 weeks away! Can't believe so many of you think it's a girl! We'll see!

My Little Fish...

A little background on this story-I have ALWAYS loved the water. Mama says when Allyson and I were little, she'd take us to the baby pool, and we'd lay on the bottom of the pool looking up at the sunshine until she thought we'd been down too long, and she'd scoop us up. When I see pretty water, I have a strong urge to jump in (even if we're driving over 331's bridge). Apparently, not everyone feels this way-Walker doesn't get it, but I'd choose a day at the pool, lake, river or beach over about anything.
Anyway...one of my secret desires for my child would be that they would love the water. I taught swimming lessons for like 5 years, so I know there's lots of children in this world who aren't "naturals" when it comes to swimming. They will run to their mamas if a little water splashes in their face. So, when Sawyer first started taking baths, I'd pour that water right over his head, and not think about wiping his face. We've practiced splashing and kicking and blowing bubbles in the bathtub from the start. Anyway...I am proud to say that I have been blessed with a little fish! Sawyer-man LOVES the water! In fact, I think his 2 favorite things are water and food...so he's a lot like his mama! :) He's also into watering the plants/grass, because that includes turning on the faucet outside. He cracks me up how much he loves this!
I love this fact about my little boy! I can't wait to take him to a real-deal pool this summer, but in the mean time, this little blow-up pool is a pretty big hit! We spent a majority of the morning out there, so I thought I'd share a few pictures. I tried to choose the most discreet for modesty's sake.

New Home

Just a quick post to say we made it-We safely arrived at our new home in Enterprise, Alabama. We have been here a week, and I would definitely say it has been eventful. The first day we were here, I washed my phone in my shorts pocket (good idea, right?)....So, unless you've called my cell phone this week, I no longer have your phone number.
The house is good. We've all adjusted well, and we like it here. Sawyer loves the backyard and his new bathtub. We're still getting boxes unpacked, but we're about to finish-It's probably been a blessing that the cable folks are taking forever to get us hooked up. Although, we laughed because we may see if we can find the finale of the Bachelor on the Internet tonight. :)
We are out in the country, so my cell phone doesn't work in the house, but my new house number is (334)894-0159.
Here's a few pictures from our week. Hope y'all all have had a good one! Come see us!

Sawyer really liked the movers. Here he is with Cornbread. They were a humongous help!

Aunt Al and Uncle Wes came to visit on Saturday and spent the night Saturday night.
We loved it!

This was a shot from our breakfast table this morning...a real-deal turkey! I was so excited about our little gobbler in our very own yard. I called Walker, and he was equally as thrilled!

Granny Beck, Grandmama, Aunt D, Lil' Mikey, and Risdon all came today, and we celebrated Grandmama's 85th birthday! Happy Birthday, Grandmama!

This was taken as we sang "Happy Birthday." Sawyer's shaking his booty!

3 more days..

The packers are coming on Monday to pack us up, and they'll ship us out on Tuesday. I admit that I am really excited about the house, but I HATE to leave all our sweet friends in Andalusia! HATE TO! We have been soooooooooooooooo blessed with such good friends here! They're wonderful! Can't beat them! AND they're special because they are "mine and Walker's" friends. We met most of them right after we got married-most of us were child-less at the time, and they were our first real couple friends that we met together. GOOD ONES! with sweet families who are truly living their lives for the Lord! They have been such good examples, and I'm thankful for that! We've loved Andalusia because of them!
They had a little good-bye dinner for us last night at David's Catfish. I wasn't expecting the crowd that we had, but there were about 25 of our sweet friends there with their cute kids! I took lots of pictures, but I'll just share a few. They also gave us a beautiful wreath to hang on our front door of our new house. Thank y'all so much for everything!!!

Maggie Ruth was giving Sawyer some kisses! He clapped at first, and then pushed her away. That's my child with the sun-kissed cheeks. His mama needs to remember sunscreen!

Sawyer and Logan-Isn't she cute???

A group shot of some of the girls at the end of the night...some had already left by picture time.

This was taken at the women's conference we went to last weekend!

Also an update on the yard sale...I went ahead and had it Friday morning, because I thought it was going to rain this morning. I have to admit I do love a yard sale. I enjoy making a little money on things we no longer need, and I enjoy bargainning with people for a good deal. I think a former job as a sales rep instilled that in me. Despite a lack of advertising and a slow start, I sold most of our living room furniture, rugs, bathroom cabinets, old picture frames, bath mats, shower curtains, etc. So, our house is pretty bare! It'll make a lighter load for the movers on Tuesday! I do have a refrigerator left. So, if you need one, let me know!
