"Really, Mama??"

My boys are at my favorite ages and stages yet.  Sawyer's going to be FOUR next week, and I might stroke out when the day actually gets here!!!  Eli's a mess and half and a character and a half, and I couldn't love them more!!

There are lots of jon-jons in Eli's closet that have never been worn.  I think they're cute.   I think Sawyer's too old for them, and when he was Eli's age, his physique was not made for a jon-jon.  (Have I ever mentioned I truly believe Walker prayed for a linebacker when I was pregnant with Sawyer?  It cracks me up how many times people tell me I have a little linebacker!  :))  Anyway...
Sunday morning I let Eli choose...."Do you want to wear the airplane or the dog?"  He told me the dog, so I get it out, and we put it on.  He looks like a little dollface (of course), but looks down-like "Mama??  REALLY??  The kids are going to laugh at me!"
It cracks me up/worries me that he's concerned about his wardrobe.  So, I tell him how cute he looks.  He's still not so sure...I totally feel like the mama in the Christmas story making her child put on that pink bunny outfit on Christmas morning!! When Walker sees the dilema he says, "Hey Eli!  I like that puppy dog.  Make your mad puppy dog face."  This is the ticket!  I now have a happy kid making mean puppy faces in a cute jon jon! Success!  Then, he gets to complete the outfit with his "dancing shoes" and we're off....
