Brothers....but NOT twins

Here you go, Shonna! :)
Here are my boys in the same outfit at approximately the same age. Aren't they cute? So....what do y'all think? Similar but different for sure! L-O-V-E-S! One of these little loves is crying his head off right now, so I must go....

"Happy, Happy, Happy" Christmas!

Sawyer walks around saying, "happy, happy, happy"-I think that's what he's saying anyway...We like to think so!
This little guy is now SMILING a lot! His mama LOVES it! I'll have to catch him on camera soon.

These cute little stinkers, Walker, and I had a GREAT Christmas! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I just hate it's already over! It was my first Christmas not to be in North Alabama, but it was really good anyway. We met Mama and Daddy in PCB to celebrate with the Harper (family of 3) Christmas Eve and were able to spend Christmas morning at our house. Then, we went to Clayton and spent the night Christmas.
The NRCS has been going through an audit (which has been a pain in the hiney for Walker), so Walker didn't get to take off before Christmas. Thankfully, he gets this week off! HOORAH! So, things are getting back to normal today. Hope everyone had a FANTASTIC Christmas!
My youngest little guy has decided he likes to be held 24-7, so if I don't get back on the computer for a while...you'll know what I'm doing!

Caleb's HERE!!

Oh my stars! My little precious nephew, Caleb Michael Harper, arrived yesterday afternoon at 3:42. Everyone is doing great, and I am the proudest auntie ever! I LOVE THIS BOY! He's beautiful and perfect! Allyson had a great delivery! She made it look like a breeze. He's 7 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long...PERFECT! The Browns and The Harpers were there to cheer on Allyson who was induced yesterday at 6:00 a.m. Little Eli was a trooper at the hospital, and he now looks like the big kid compared to little Caleb! :) (He's a whole 3 lbs bigger!)
Here are some pictures from my camera. I took most of them with Wes's camera, but I'm sure when Allyson gets home from the hospital, she'll share those with you.

ps-Erika posted pictures too! You can see them Here! :)

My Boys

We had a little photo shoot for our Christmas card tonight (and last night and another night previously). Now that I have two under two, it's a little bit of a challenge! Maybe next year I'll get a photographer! I think they earn their money! By the way...I'm so impressed with the cards I've gotten-especially those of you with multiple children!
Anyway...I was proud of these, so I thought I'd share!

A Birthday Celebration for Jesus

Last night we went to The Living Christmas Tree at our church. It was WONDERFUL! It was a huge reminder of what a MIRACLE the Christmas story is! I kept thinking about Eli and how Jesus came into this world the same way...just as a tiny baby! AMAZING! So, I thought I'd invite my friends (ESPECIALLY my Andalusia friends). They'll have it again next Friday, Saturday and Sunday night at 7:00. If you don't have plans for one of those nights next weekend and live close by, I'd highly recommend it! Childcare is provided, and I know you'd enjoy it! The tickets are free. The church just asks that you call to reserve a ticket, so they will be sure to have enough seats. The number is (334) 347-2516. Let me know if you have any questions.

Y-M-C-A

The YMCA is my new best friend!!!!!!! I've been pregnant since I moved to Enterprise, but I went a couple of weeks ago to check out aerobics at the YMCA and Gold's Gym. They both have childcare! (This wasn't an option in Andalusia.) For right now, I'm going to the "Y," but I may try Gold's soon too. It's really kind of too good to be true for me, and it is definitely a saving grace right now! REALLY! I did pilates the other day, and as I'm laying on the floor concentrating on my breathing, I'm thinking....is this for real? Sawyer's playing happily in the nursery, and Eli's in someone else's good hands while I lay here on the floor??? WHAT A TREAT! I've been 4 out of 5 days this week, and I hate I missed the one day I wasn't there! I could go on and on about how much I enjoy/needed it! Anyway...just wanted to share my good news and pass it along to any other stay-at-home moms that have this option available!
(ps...Here's my disclaimer-if you see me soon, don't expect amazing results like i've been working out a lot. I'm enjoying it, but my pants are still a long way from fitting!)

THANKSGIVING

I loved it! I'm just a little bummed it's already over.
We had a GREAT day in Clayton on Thursday and my family came Friday and left after church today. Thought I'd share a few pictures.
The Williams Family
Grandmama and her Great-Grandchildren
Gracie held Eli for a while, and she kept singing "Lullaby and Goodnight." SO SWEET

Granny Beck and Eli
I should have done a lot better with pictures from The Browns trip (Katie's girls are really cute and I have no pictures of them!!), but I'll share what I have. My first Thanksgiving meal at our house was a success. Everything came together about lunch time, and it all turned out pretty tasty. We had 13 people in my house all weekend, and I hope a good time was had by all!

My dear husband is in the kitchen right now cooking up some homemade vegetable soup using the hambone from our Thanksgiving feast. He's a self-procalimed "old school" cook. He's very proud! Me too-Yum! :)

And I'm So Thankful!

So far, so good on having 2 babies! I LOVE it more than I thought possible!
There's definitely a lot of crying, lots of messes, lots of diapers, lots of blankets (seems like they're EVERYWHERE), and TONS of laundry, but man please...I love these kids of mine! I like how they keep me so busy, and they make me feel important :). I'm definitely sleep deprived, but my newest little guy is starting to stretch out the time between feedings at night, so I can't complain!
Sweet Eli will be 1 month old tomorrow! Wow-Wow-Wee!
Sawyer man and His Beloved Lawnmower
If you drive by our house, there's a good chance that this is what you'd see! Sawyer would cut the grass 24/7 if we'd let him!

I have had lots of sweet company lately. My friend Jan from UAB that now lives in Opp and her sweet little girl came last week, and Walker's friend from forever, Shea, came and spent the weekend hanging out with us. I do love company!
Shea with the Williams boys
Sawyer and Bethany Burgess

Thursday we're headed to Clayton for the day to spend Thanksgiving with the Williams family. Friday Katie and her crew, Mama and Daddy, & Allyson and Wes are all coming for a Thanksgiving meal on Saturday. I admit that having them come to my house for Thanksgivng makes me feel like a grown up, but that's okay. (I have to remind myself-I am a mama of two!)
Katie mentioned The Elf on the Shelf on her blog. If you don't read her blog, you may want to check it out. I think I'm going to have to get one of my own too. Katie's girls REALLY do love it, and I think Sawyer would like to find that little elf every morning.
I have to share my newest find-Bear Creek Soup Mix. Have y'all ever tried this stuff? It's SO EASY and so good! We've had the potato and tortilla soup. I added chicken and corn to both, and they were very tasty-ESPECIALLY considering how easy they are! If y'all have any other recipes/ideas for suppers that are this easy and this good, please send them my way!
My other good news is that I have a real friend in Enterprise! THANK YOU LORD! I don't take this for granted! I have several actually, but I'm really excited that Summer and I went to aerobics for the first time yesterday and are going to try and start being regulars! THIS MAKES ME HAPPY! I needed both! :) It's really amazing how God has always provided me with really good friends wherever I've been! Seems like I need to add the song, "Thank You For Being A Friend" from the Golden Girls to my playlist...but I'll just stick to the Christmas music today!
Anyway...I hope all of you have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with your family! War Eagle! I love y'all and am thankful for you!!!!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

I've Got the Spirit!

I just wondered if anyone else is hanging up their Christmas decorations yet? Walker brought ours down from above the garage yesterday, so it's all sitting in the garage ready to be put out. I definitely can't put up the tree until Walker and Sawyer are around though. I think that's a big deal, and we should all participate! :) Last year we got out the video camera to video Sawyer's reaction to decorating the tree. I can remember Mama putting on Christmas music in the living room for us to decorate the tree, and we enjoyed it. I imagine I'll have it done by next weekend anyway.
I'm so excited about Christmas! There's lots to look forward to this year! I heard Santa made his debut at the Dothan mall on Friday night. I'm looking forward to seeing what Sawyer-man thinks of all this! PLUS...Allyson's going to have a baby! She's due December 22nd (35 days from now), so we're not heading to North Alabama like we always do, but we'll be Christmasing closer to PCB! I'm pumped up about this! What a PERFECT little Christmas present-little Caleb Michael Harper!
I know it's a little early, but I figure it's Jesus's birthday celebration, so you can't start too early! :)

Quick Update

I really do love to blog! I'm really, really tired and it's really quiet at my house, so I could easily go hop in the bed, but I enjoy blogging enough to stay up and do a quick post! (I had to stay up until 10:00 anyway to finish the CMA Awards!) :)
We're still here, and we're doing pretty good! Today was day #2 without Walker at home which is really good considering Eli is 2 1/2 weeks old. We go to the doctor in the morning for a checkup. He seems to be a healthy baby. Praise the Lord! He's growing a lot, and he was able to take his first bath tonight because his umbilical cord finally fell off. We DO LOVE bath time at our house, and Eli's thinking seems to "fall right in line with management" (as Walker would say). He seemed to enjoy his first bath.
I'm definitely in love with this little face!

In other news...Sawyer had a meltdown today when I dropped him off in the nursery at church, so we were home from my 9:00 Bible Study by 9:30. I was big-time frustrated-especially considering I had stayed up late to finish the Bible Study and gotten my 2 kids up and ready to go this morning, but I got home and read Darby's blog about appreciating little things and trying to please God and not man. I realized it was not a big deal if my 1 1/2 year old had a bad day. Thanks again, Darby, for being so smart and sharing your heart!
We were also blessed with a visit from the sweet Earnest family yesterday. I think they are a PRECIOUS family, and I always enjoy seeing them (Sawyer did too)! They love my boys, and I'm thankful! Hunter and Taylor are two SWEET, SWEET boys, and I'd be glad for mine to turn out so well!

I'm off to bed. Peace out.

Some Things Just Make Me Smile...

Like these two that came to visit this weekend. I kind of like them A LOT, and I LOVE having them around!! THANK YOU FOR COMING TO VISIT US, HARPERS! WE LOVE YOU A CRAZY AMOUNT!

(I haven't mentioned our story of the night I went into labor. The nurse sent us to walk for 2 hours to help speed up the labor, so these 2 came and met us at Wal-Mart in Enterprise. Walker and I walked the first hour and then Allyson picked up the second half. We got a FEW stares! Two very pregnant twins making laps around Wal-Mart!)

Trick or Treat

Here's some pictures from our trick-or-treating outing last night. We had so much fun! Sawyer had been practicing all day saying, "Trick or Treat" and ringing the door bell. HE LOVED IT! :) I did too! One of our neighbors said Eli should get an award for the smallest trick-or-treater of the year. He really may have been, but he slept right through all the fun.
PS...for anyone interested, the sling so far has been the ticket! It's so nice to have both hands free and still be able to hold him.

Day 1 & Hospital Pictures

Both of my boys are taking a nap, so I was checking my email and wanted to share the hospital pictures. Night #1 went well! Eli likes to eat, but he was content as long as he was well fed! He seems to be a pretty easy-going baby so far! PRAISE THE LORD!!! Sawyer is still fascinated and in love with his new baby! PRAISE THE LORD!!!! Walker's here, and we're enjoying ourselves immensely! It's hard to believe we're now a family of four!

Eli Marshall Williams

Here are some photos of our new addition! He's here and doing great! So far, Sawyer seems to love him! He's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED! The delivery was a little less than desireable, but Eli's here and healty, so what more could we ask for! Walker & I feel very blessed to have two healthy boys that are sure to keep us busy and happy! We enjoyed our stay at the Enterprise Medical Center, but we're really glad to be home! Gmama is in the kitchen cooking some pork chops, so we're about to enjoy a good meal before she and Granddaddy head back to North Alabama. Walker's off for two weeks, so it's going to be NICE to have him home!

Eli is Here!!

Hi, it's Aunt Al...

I am THRILLED to report Eli is here, and he is PERFECT! He was born this morning at 6:15am - he weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. & is 20 1/2" long. He is BEAUTIFUL! He has light brown hair and seems to be as healthy as can be. YEA!! Ashley, Walker and Eli are all doing great and resting after a long night. We have lots of pictures, and I'll post them ASAP.

He-Man

See his tongue sticking out? He's really working hard!
I ordered a new camera the other day, and I had the shipping expedited just in case Eli decided to come before the UPS Ground shipment. I don't have Eli yet, but I thoroughly enjoyed my little photo shoot with Sawyer-man today. He is a character and a half. We spent the day going on several walks in the ugly weather. He also likes to drive Walker's truck around our neighborhood...so I let him, and he's into picking up the smaller pumpkin and moving it around. I think it's pretty impressive for a little guy! :)
Do y'all think I should be cleaning my house or freezing meals or something productive in preparation for #2??
Are y'all going to quit reading my blog because all I talk about is my kid????
Thanks for hanging in there with me! He pretty much consumes my days! Can't wait to meet his brother!
He says, "Hey....Hey....Hey" ALL the time. He'd mow a little bit, and then turn around and say, "hey...hey!"

Please don't hold this fuzzy picture against the camera-just the photographer! I'm pretty sure I moved trying to capture those 2 smiles! :)

I did go to a "Girls' Night Out" tonight where we put together shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. I enjoyed it! I've also just started a new Bible Study called, "For Women Only." Has anyone done that one? So far-so good!
