Day 1 & Hospital Pictures

Both of my boys are taking a nap, so I was checking my email and wanted to share the hospital pictures. Night #1 went well! Eli likes to eat, but he was content as long as he was well fed! He seems to be a pretty easy-going baby so far! PRAISE THE LORD!!! Sawyer is still fascinated and in love with his new baby! PRAISE THE LORD!!!! Walker's here, and we're enjoying ourselves immensely! It's hard to believe we're now a family of four!

Eli Marshall Williams

Here are some photos of our new addition! He's here and doing great! So far, Sawyer seems to love him! He's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED! The delivery was a little less than desireable, but Eli's here and healty, so what more could we ask for! Walker & I feel very blessed to have two healthy boys that are sure to keep us busy and happy! We enjoyed our stay at the Enterprise Medical Center, but we're really glad to be home! Gmama is in the kitchen cooking some pork chops, so we're about to enjoy a good meal before she and Granddaddy head back to North Alabama. Walker's off for two weeks, so it's going to be NICE to have him home!

Eli is Here!!

Hi, it's Aunt Al...

I am THRILLED to report Eli is here, and he is PERFECT! He was born this morning at 6:15am - he weighed 6 lbs. 15 oz. & is 20 1/2" long. He is BEAUTIFUL! He has light brown hair and seems to be as healthy as can be. YEA!! Ashley, Walker and Eli are all doing great and resting after a long night. We have lots of pictures, and I'll post them ASAP.

He-Man

See his tongue sticking out? He's really working hard!
I ordered a new camera the other day, and I had the shipping expedited just in case Eli decided to come before the UPS Ground shipment. I don't have Eli yet, but I thoroughly enjoyed my little photo shoot with Sawyer-man today. He is a character and a half. We spent the day going on several walks in the ugly weather. He also likes to drive Walker's truck around our neighborhood...so I let him, and he's into picking up the smaller pumpkin and moving it around. I think it's pretty impressive for a little guy! :)
Do y'all think I should be cleaning my house or freezing meals or something productive in preparation for #2??
Are y'all going to quit reading my blog because all I talk about is my kid????
Thanks for hanging in there with me! He pretty much consumes my days! Can't wait to meet his brother!
He says, "Hey....Hey....Hey" ALL the time. He'd mow a little bit, and then turn around and say, "hey...hey!"

Please don't hold this fuzzy picture against the camera-just the photographer! I'm pretty sure I moved trying to capture those 2 smiles! :)

I did go to a "Girls' Night Out" tonight where we put together shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. I enjoyed it! I've also just started a new Bible Study called, "For Women Only." Has anyone done that one? So far-so good!

Ready To Watch The Tigers

I'm hoping for a major comeback from the Auburn Tigers tonight. I hope they have gotten their act together on their week off, and we're ready to finish the season strong! Hope y'all all have a great night! War Eagle!!

Big Weekend with the Browns

Friday night, Katie and her big crew and Mama and Daddy came down to stay with us so we could all go to Allyson's baby shower in Dothan on Saturday morning. That was 7 extra people in our house...a house full! :) The whole weekend was really fun!
Allyson's shower was SO CRAZY NICE!! Wes's cousin, Heather, went all out! I got SEVERAL new things for Eli as well! God blessed us both with FANTASTIC in-law families! REALLY! I don't know too many families as sweet as the Williams but the Harper crew is right up there too! How blessed are we??? I don't think I've ever seen Allyson look as pretty as she did on Saturday! She's 31weeks pregnant, but she looks like a rock star! WAY TO GO, Brown-Brown! :)

While we were in Dothan, Walker, Daddy and Scott took Grace, Shelby, Julia, and Sawyer to our church's pumpkin patch. They had a great time too!

Saturday was also Julia's second birthday, so when we got back from Dothan, we had a little birthday cake to celebrate her day! I felt priviledged that we got to celebrate with her in Enterprise! Sunday the whole crew went to church with us, so that was fun! I was glad they could see where we go.
I think everyone would have enjoyed it if Eli had also made an appearance on Saturday, but he seems pretty content right where he is at the moment. I guess that will be a good reason for all the Browns to come back soon though!!

Mid-Morning MELTDOWN!!

I confess that I am a HUGELY emotional girl! I wish I could blame it all on the pregnancy. However, I fear that it's just part of who I am. I remember laughing with Allyson about these 2 women at our church when we were little. You could bet that when it came time for the youth to sing in church or for some special something to happen...you could look over, and they were going to be crying.
Well, that's ME FOR SURE now! It's ridiculous! I cry happy, sad, excited, etc. It's pretty embarrassing!!
Anyway...
Today was a little ridiculous-even for me! Allyson called at lunchtime and asked what I was doing. I told her that I was researching little potty chairs and potty-training videos for Sawyer. (I read Potty Boot Camp this morning, so I was shopping around to find the best prices on things they recommended.)
ANYWAY...she starts talking about how she hates for him to grow up so fast. My initial reaction was, "Me too, but he's not-I'm just going to potty-train early." BUT THEN...I LOST IT! I sat on my front porch and boo-hooed uncontrollably about the fact that he is going to grow up way faster than I would like! Allyson on the other end was saying, "I hope you're laughing too!" -which I was laughing at myself-thinking about how ridiculous I would look if someone drove by!!
What a precious little doll-face God has given me! (I know all moms can relate!) Thank you, Lord, for my baby! I admit-It was really nice to have that reminder because earlier this morning, all I found myself wanting to do was put him in the bed for a nap to have some "me" time, but by the time nap time was over...I was ready to appreciate my time with my little boy! So, thanks for the reminder Auntie Al of how I need to appreciate everyday, b/c he really is getting big quickly! :)

Scarecrows in the Park

We had a family outing this morning to Opp to go see the "Scarecrows in the Park." Beth had recommended going, and I'm glad she did. It was a fun way to spend a Saturday morning. There were 2 nature trails with over 100 scarecrow exhibits. I admit they were CRACKING me up! It doesn't take too much to amuse me, but a couple of my favorites were titled, "I aint got noBODY!"-and it was just the scarecrow head hanging from the tree. Another was the bald, golfing scarecrow that resembled my Uncle Ray enough to make it pretty hilarious!
This was Sawyer's reaction to a lot of the scarecrows-like Check this out! He'd pat their legs and talk to them.

He was talking to this lady, saying "Hi Scarecrow!"

Here's my Uncle Ray

Sawyer riding the tricycle with the pumpkin-head gang

On our way to Opp, we saw that Ino Baptist was having a pumpkin patch too, so we stopped and bought ANOTHER pumpkin and I took pictures of Sawyer in the pumpkin patch! He wasn't exactly in a posing mood at the pumpkin patch, but he liked playing in them anyway.

I don't think I've ever enjoyed the "Halloween season" quite as much as I have this year. I'm really hoping that little Eli will make his entrance before Halloween in enough time that I can dress Sawyer up and take him trick-or-treating. Oh the joys of being Mama!! I bought a dog costume at the consignment sale in Enterprise about 3weeks ago, and I CAN NOT WAIT to paint his little face and have everyone ooh & ahhh over my little puppy! :) He'll just love the candy!!

By the way-I am in desperate need of a new camera. You can tell mine is so fuzzy from the pictures if I zoom in at all. So, if anyone has one they'd like to recommend...Please do!!!

Happy Thoughts!

I feel like a different bird today. Walker got home last night, and we ate supper. Then he proceeded to clean the kitchen and my child while I laid on the couch. So, after a good night's rest...I'm feeling good today.
I thought on a lighter, brighter note, I'd add a few of my favorite things-just for fun! :)
So, in no particular order....

1. Taylor Swift CD
Walker gave it to me last Christmas, and I still enjoy it! There's probably a new cd out by now that I need to look for...but this has been one of my all time favorites.

2. The Hook & Ladder Sandwich from Firehouse Subs
Allyson KEPT telling me about how she loved Firehouse! Well, Enterprise now has our very own Firehouse Subs, and I enjoy it a lot! My favorite is The Hook & Ladder. It's Smoked Turkey Breast and Virginia Honey Ham smothered with Monterey Jack and served “Fully Involved." I also enjoy the fact that when you walk in the door they all yell out, "Welcome to Firehouse!" So nice! :)

3. MAC Makeup Studio Fix Powder/Foundation
I'm not one to splurge on makeup, so this powder suits me well. It's a powder/foundation in one that goes on very smoothly. It lasts a long time for $26. I'm a fan!

4. Baby's First Year Calendar
This one is from CR Gibson.

Katie gave me one when Sawyer was born. I liked it a lot, because it's full of stickers-so when he hit a milestone like "drank from a cup," -you just put your little sticker on the date. It also had room for me to write his favorite things each month, sleeping habits, funny things he did, etc. I'm glad to have such a good reference when Eli arrives, so I can see how similar/different my two boys are. It's also nice, because I didn't have to drag out the baby book each time he did something new! I went and bought 2 more today, one for Eli and one for my little nephew Caleb! :)

5. Fireproof
I know I already mentioned it on here, but I just wanted to reemphasize how much I enjoyed this movie! I wish they made more like it! :)

My Watermelon!

AHHHHHHHHH!!! It hurts so badly right now. I really DID NOT feel like this with Sawyer. My tummy is SO BIG, and it feels like it's getting bigger by the minute! I am 36 weeks. Maybe little Eli will make his entrance into the world sooner than later...we'll see! No contractions-it's just SO TIGHT!!! Just needed to vent.

just because he's cute...

This was before church this morning-the best I could get!

Tonight he's been quite a character! You can probably tell he's really tired in these pictures. We got home from church tonight, and I took a picture of him sitting on the kitchen floor. Then, he'd want to come see what I took. Then, he'd run back and pose for me to take his picture again! He's definitely a mess, but oh my stars! I could eat him up!!!!

Another Shower for Eli

I didn't expect to have a baby shower for my second little boy, but thanks to my friends in Andalusia and now, my sweet in-laws...we just had our second. We're SO BLESSED! It was a fantastic day! All the men went dove shooting at "the farm" while we had a baby shower. Allyson and Wes made the trip from PCB b/c they're REALLY NICE to gather with Walker's family to celebrate Eli!
Diana hosted the shower at her house. We had a fancy tea party, because Gracie & Sadie are all into a tea party-complete with crystal glasses and linen napkins! :) If you live close to Eufaula, AL, Tisa's Cakes makes THE BEST birthday cakes and petafores (how do you spell that word??) you have ever tasted (they're also really cute!)...It's really kind of ridiculous how good they are!
Eli got lots of fantastic gifts and Baby Harper did pretty well too!!
Walker has a big place on his shoulder that's going to turn into a bruise from the dove shoot b/c he shot so many times. It was a very successful hunt according to Walker, "one of the best he's ever been on." I think we have 35 doves and Wes and Al went home with 34....so, they had fun! I should have gotten a picture of them in their camo. They were cute!

Aunt D's house is not only toyland, but it comes complete with chickens, cows, goats, dogs, and a cat! Could a little boy ask for anything more???
Well, to be quite honest....Sawyer HAD A CONNIPTION at their baby calf, Ella Bell. I don't know what it was. The big cows were fine, but when Ella Bell started mooing..she scared him to death! Who knew?
I am absolutely exhausted tonight and ready to climb into bed, but I wanted to share a few pictures from our fun day!

Willy & Ashley Hit The Town

Last night my sweet mother-in-law kept Sawyer for us as kind of a "trial-run" before Eli's arrival. Walker & I have not had a whole night away since we've had him, so we were all excited about it! So, what to do on our big night out? We headed to Dothan to go see "Fireproof" since it had come so highly recommended by my sisters. We got to Dothan about 6:00 and decided to wait to go to the late movie, so we'd have time to play.
It was fabulous! We dined at Red Lobster-casually eating our delicious meal. Then, we headed to Dick's Sporting Goods where we just leisurely walked around for an hour, went to Bruster's for Ice Cream, and then headed to my favorite store, Target. The only purchase made was a pack of diapers and a pair of earrings, but man-please-we had fun! Have I ever mentioned that I really like Walker?? :)
The movie was EXCELLENT! It lived up to all my expectations, and I would highly recommend it!
Today, I had a doctor's appointment. Walker took the morning off to go with me since they were doing an ultrasound. Eli now weighs approximately 6 lbs 1 ounce and is in "ready" position to come on into the world! I can't wait to meet him! Walker planned to pick Sawyer up this afternoon after working in Clayton today, so I have been to the eye doctor, to Wal-Mart, gotten a haircut, had my eyebrows waxed OFF and taken a nap! :) I think she got a little carried away with the wax, but that's okay! All-in-all, a very good day!
Now, I'm just counting down the minutes until they get back. They should be here in about 10 minutes, and I'm hoping Sawyer-man will have missed his mama a little bit anyway!
