Playing with Friends

Just thought I'd share the pictures I took of Sawyer and his best buddies today. Aren't they handsome? Hunter and Taylor Earnest have been friends of Sawyer's from the start. They are SOOOOOOOOOOOO Sweet to him! They also have a lot to do with why I wanted another baby so soon. They are 18 months apart and are so sweet to each other. I hope Sawyer and his new brother/sister will be that close.
John Luke Colvin is his other best buddy! They had fun playing outside together today. These sweet boys and their sweet mamas are going to make it hard to move from Andalusia!

Do you believe in Easter?

We've been in Clayton today with Walker's parents. We went to church with them, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The title of the sermon today was "Come and See. Then, Go and Tell!" The preacher told a story about a lady that would introduce herself, and then ask "Do you believe in Easter?" to everyone she met. She used this to start sharing with them about her Lord.
Today is the kind of day that reminds me I need to be "telling" all the time about the wonderful things that Christ has done for me. He died for me, and then, rose again! How great is it that we serve a living God who loves us so much more than we deserve!
It's hard to understand that kind of love, but I love to think about it! Thank you, Lord!

Sawyer had a great day! He got a basket full of goodies from the Easter bunny and enjoyed the Easter egg hunt at Granny Beck's house with his cousins. He found his first Easter egg. Then, sat down and enjoyed the candy inside. Maybe next year he'll be more into the "hunt" part of it. Happy Easter Everybody!

PS-The preacher's wife sang "Arise, My Love" and I loved it! I didn't know this song. I loved it though, so I added it to the playlist.

What? What?

I'm feeling so cool since I figured out how to change my blog. It was easy...once I learned where to go. I'll be glad to have something different other than the black. Funny how thrilling this is for me!
In case you're interested, I just went to this site, and they had lots of cute designs.
Hope you'll enjoy the change of scenery!

A New Baby!

Just wanted to let everyone know that #2 is on the way! We're expecting a new baby in November! Walker and I are very excited! We're looking forward to having two so close in age! I'm feeling good, so that's definitely a blessing! We will move into our new house in May and will have a little time to get settled in before the new baby gets here. So, that's our news! We'll keep this new baby in our prayers. It's so amazing how God continues to bless us! Thank you, Lord!

"And We're Off!"

Aunt Al snapped this picture this weekend at her house

We have been on the go this past week-everyday. We have made several trips to Enterpirse, went to see Aunt Al and Uncle Wes in PCB this weekend, and we made a quick trip to Dothan today. In the whole process of getting a new house-I've been obessing over paint color, cabinet color and tile choices. I told Erika I don't see how she does her job, there are SOOOOOOOOO Many Choices!!...I've even been dreaming about paint color! It is fun, but I am anxious to see the finished product. I am hoping that it will all come together. We shall see!!
The house we're buying is in Enterprise (about 3 miles north of the circle). When Walker and I first saw it, it was 60 days from completion, which means we got in just in time to make all these fun decisions about "our" house. So, anyway, that's what we've been doing. Allyson spent the day with me picking out bath mats and shower curtains. You know she's a good one when she'll spend the whole day shopping for my bathrooms! :) It was fun! Thanks, Al!
Our other big news is that Sawyer became a walker (sort-of)one week ago. He took his first steps alone from the dishwasher to a kitchen chair in an effort to get his juice. He's not walking everywhere yet, but he is taking a few steps at a time, so I think my life is about to get a lot more interesting!
I thought I'd share his 12 month pictures if you're interested. I'll have to apologize for the white outfit he has on in the pictures. I took the outfit that Sawyer was dedicated in at the beginning of January to have his pictures made. Why did I think it would still fit? I guess I was just hoping to get another wear out of it....but that was the wrong decision! :) So, just forgive Sawyer's mama for those and enjoy the rest.

Weekend in Clayton

We went to Clayton on Saturday morning to celebrate Granny Beck's birthday. We went fishing in Mr. John Pitt's pond Saturday afternoon, and we all caught lots of fish. I wish I had a picture of my big bass! :) Saturday night Diana (Walker's sister) had a birthday party for Mrs. Becky. We all had a great time, especially Sawyer b/c his Aunt D's house is Toyland. I thought I'd share a picture of Sawyer and Risdon. They are a month and a half apart in age, and they already have fun together. Risdon took his first steps last week....Sawyer's still working on that!
